Five alleged rhino poachers in court

Five people appeared in the Lephalale Magistrate's Court on Monday for alleged rhino poaching, Limpopo police said.

The case against Patricia Mukwhevho, 30, Secret Cutama, 29, Rhinus Makhadu, 28, Louis Musekwa, 31, and Abram Kgalushi, 33, was postponed until September 6 for further investigation, said Superintendent Ronel Otto.

Two of them were arrested in a vehicle near the Ferroland Game Estate over the weekend, she said. The other three were arrested later.

They were charged with unlawful hunting of a protected wild species and possession of an illegal firearm. -
