Feeling a bit down

I got up early; Barbara and I had a quick breakfast and went to the office to start our feeding schedule. It was overcast and a bit windy but we continued to work at the same pace as always. I showed Barbara the meal preparation and the schedule how it works. We fed most of the animals and it was Bliksem’s turn. As we approached his enclosure, we saw him inside sitting peacefully. We started giving him pellets and hay when we saw Kariba, the giraffe right behind us very close. Barbara and I started moving back to office and he kept following us. However we did not let him come to close. But that was a bit tough on us.

Late afternoon, Andre came to camp and took us for a game drive. Although it was overcast and cold, I got very good photos of white rhino couple and Tonga, the Hippo. He is awesome.

Soon it started drizzling and we headed back to our camp. I guess we knew that next couple days our activity is going to be limited.

I am also feeling a bit down as in next few days I have to leave back to the US, leaving Bliksem, Meerkat family and mother and Jespha the amazing lion and other pride. Honestly if you ask me do I want to leave this place, NO, but kind of forced to.
